Ok, well CB x TB
So, this is my first contact with the breed, and wanted to know any particulars that may help our relationship
I will be taking my newbie jumping, XC and dressage, which should be fine - I have read CB's are quite the allrounders??
Anyway...just thought I would say hello.....

Hello and welcome to here, what is your new horse's registration name?
Whoo hooo...your first CBxTB, so am I!!! Actually it's only 1/4 CB but he is just lovely...love him! Yes apparently they are all-rounders as my boy's mum did the stockwork mustering the sheep!
Any chance of a photo? |

Hey there!
Welcome to the world of CBs! have a look at the CB forum - www.clevelandbays.forumotion.com too
They are lovely horses, great temperaments, very trainable, easy to get along with, they are VERY quick to learn though - so they can learn the wrong thing as easily as the right thing - so if you have one with a bad habit, you need to just retrain them onto the right thing to do! But once they get that into their heads, they have it for life I have found!
Our CB numbers are growing here at our place, and I wouldnt have it any other way!
Definitely looking forward to pics!
Just use the Img link from photobucket to post photos in here!
Cheers......... Shell _________________ CM Sporthorses

Hi there,
Okies, go to www.photobucket.com and sign up for a free account.
When you have done that, log in, and then click on the My Album section I think it is, up the top....
There will be a little window in the middle almost saying 'select photo' or 'choose photo'.
Click on that, find the file in your computer files that you want to upload, and then hit Ok, and Upload.
Once its uploaded, it will appear below and have 4 links underneath it.
You want the BOTTOM link - the Img link.
Just copy that and paste it into your message on here
Hopefully that works for you, or as Talkingshell said, email it to her, or to myself - shell@cmsporthorses.com - and one of us will get it up there for you
If you email it to Talkingshell - take off the ...I at the end of her email link! They are not meant to be there.
OH, and as for what CBs are good at - ours chase cows, sheep, go jumping, do dressage, hack, in hand showing, harness, as well as breeding. Great all rounders.... Just dont ask Ceilidh (Talkingshells boys mum) to go near Emus..... apparently Emus are giant horse eating chickens...... you ask her, she will tell you!!!
But having said that, she doesnt 'shy' at them, just put the brakes on, and her eyes bug out of her head and she wont move til the bloomin thing is GONE.... far away..... lol _________________ CM Sporthorses

Well done - you got the pics figured out
She looks like she is a sweetie! The Clevelands just have something about their big soft eyes and soft expression dont they? They suck you right in! lol _________________ CM Sporthorses

Yes, I am good at following instructions
We had a bit of a ride yesterday, and she is coming round well. Taking her to our local clubgrounds on Friday to ride her on the sand arena (I only have a roundyard & mud ) so that should be fun! Can't wait to have a "proper" ride to see how she feels now her teeth & feet are sorted
Oooh..should check the mail to see if her paperwork is here!! |
